A groundbreaking study, funded by Kranus Health and presented at the European Association of Urology Congress, is shedding light on a digital solution for men's bladder health. The research highlights the potential of app-based therapy in alleviating urinary tract symptoms.

A Digital Solution for a Common Problem

Bladder emptying disorders, a common issue affecting many men, can significantly impact quality of life. Traditional treatments often involve medications or invasive procedures. However, this innovative app-based therapy, known as Bladder Emptying Disorder Therapy (BEST), offers a non-invasive and convenient approach.

A Two-Pronged Approach

The BEST therapy combines two powerful techniques:

  1. Pelvic Floor Exercises: Strengthening these muscles can improve bladder control and reduce urinary urgency.

  2. Behavioral Therapy: This therapy teaches techniques to manage bladder symptoms and improve bladder function.

Promising Results

The two-stage, multisite randomized clinical trial demonstrated the effectiveness of this combined approach. Early findings, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, showed that combining behavioral and drug therapy led to significant improvements in overactive bladder symptoms.

The Future of Men's Bladder Health

With further clinical trials, this app-based therapy could offer a drug-free solution for many men. This digital innovation holds the promise of revolutionizing the way we approach men's bladder health, providing a convenient and effective treatment option.

As technology continues to advance, we can anticipate more innovative solutions to improve men's health and well-being.
